CESS (Certified Environmental Services Specialist Program -Frontline Staff)

The Certified Environmental Specialist Program (CESS) offers a certification for environmental services frontline workers to help them:

  • Learn cleaning techniques
  • Achieve quality

Affordable: $249.00 per student or $239.00 with 10 or more students includes complimentary membership.


Convenient:  1-day instructor-led training course. Training will be conducted at a facility of your choice by an IEHA certified trainer. Instructor fee will apply for more information please contact the Association Office at 847-982-0800;1377 or 1385

Environmental services frontline technicians must pass the online exam with a 80% or higher to earn the CESS designation.


The prerequisite to taking the Professional Education Credentialing Program is completion of the Frontline Program ( CESS) . Those persons with a Bachelors Degree or higher will be exempt from the Frontline Program (CESS).
