It's 2017! Save These Dates.

Happy New Year! As you break out that new 2017 planner and begin to fill it with activities, goals and meetings for the upcoming year, we have a few "can't miss" events coming up to include!

January 10: Deadline for the Education Foundation Scholarship. The IEHA Education Foundation maintains this scholarship to promote leadership, education, and research in housekeeping management. Any IEHA member who wishes to complete the educational requirements for certification, registration, or continue their education to enhance their knowledge in the field is encouraged to apply. April 15-22: IEHA’s Leadership and Boot Camp Cruise. Come cruise the high seas with us as we take off on an educational leadership cruise. During the trip, you’ll have the opportunity to attend eight hours of educational seminars and/or the PECP Boot Camp Program while the boat is cruising the high seas. Don’t worry, we’ll leave plenty of time for fun and networking to help connect you with industry peers too! Learn more here. 

July 25: Deadline for the IEHA Spartan Scholarship. With support from our friends at Spartan Chemical, IEHA offers an annual $1,500 scholarship to individuals looking to advance their education and careers. Learn more or download an application here. 

Sept. 10-17: International Housekeepers Week. Celebrate the hard-working cleaning workers in your building during the 2017 IHW. IEHA members will receive exclusive access to promotional materials to help them recognize the people who keep our facilities clean and healthy!

Sept. 11-16: IEHA’s 51st Conference and Convention in conjunction with ISSA/INTERCLEAN in Las Vegas. Held a month earlier this year, we're planning a full line-up of excellent education and events to keep you at the forefront what's happening in the industry!

These sound exciting. I would like clarification on one event. We were told in Chicago that Housekeeping Week was going to be moved to late September due to the conflict with the 2017 Convention in Vegas. Can you double check on this please? Thank you. EdV

Hi Ed, IHW will be held the second full week of September, in conjunction with the convention. Because it's celebrated globally by numerous multi-national corporations, we didn't want to create confusion by changing the dates. Of course as the proclamation states, our members can celebrate it at anytime! Thanks for checking!
