Packing for Convention: What to Wear

By EHT Staff

Can you believe convention is right around the corner - THIS WEEKEND? The forecast for Chicago indicates that several gorgeous autumn days should greet us, with temperatures ranging in the low to mid-60s. Keep in mind that due to its proximity to Lake Michigan, Chicago can also be pretty breezy, so you'll want to dress in layers as it can get pretty cold once the sun goes down.

Unless specified, the attire for IEHA events is business casual - basically, dress to impress but make sure you're comfortable.

IEHA Event Attire Recommendations:

Sunday, Oct. 23

IEHA Welcome Party - It's a "Team" Theme, so please wear the gear of your favorite collegiate or professional sports team. If you don't have a favorite team, no problem.

Monday, Oct. 24

IEHA 50th Convention Banquet - Business/Semi-Formal

When you head over to the convention center for ISSA events, you'll want to make sure you're dressed in business casual - you never know who you may run into during a seminar or on the trade show floor! Be sure to pack comfortable shoes - while we offer bus transportation to and from the convention center, you may want to spend an afternoon at the nearby Millennium Park or take a long stroll down Michigan Avenue. Again, bring plenty of layers so if you get hot/cold, you're ready!

We look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
