SEPTEMBER CHAPTER MEETING
Where: FOLEY DISTRIBUTING - RUTLAND, VERMONT
When: September 9th, 2011
9:30 am - 2:00 pm
The Chapter met at Foley's at 9:30AM for coffee and networking, and then went next door to Alderman's Toyota to see a new state of the art detailing and car wash center. This is Vermont's most advanced car wash facility. Due to a water ban in Rutland the car wash was not in operation but the members toured the detail shop and received an entertaining presentation about car detailing. It is a state of the art multi-million dollar facility.
One of the cars was in the recent flooding from Hurricane Irene and the detail shop was able to salvage it. Below is a picture taken during the tour. The red car is the one that was in the flood. It now looks brand new.
THE CHAPTER VOTED TO DONATE $1,000 TO THE UNITED WAY OF CHITTENDEN COUNTY FOR HURRICANE IRENE DISASTER RELIEF IN VERMONT. IN JUNE $1,000 WAS DONATED TO AMERICAN RED CROSS AND ANOTHER $1,000 TO THE NEW ENGLAND HELP FOUNDATION FOR FLOOD RELIEF IN CENTRAL VERMONT.
