VERT MONT CHAPTER INFORMATION / OFFICERS & BOARD MEMBERS
The Vert Mont Chapter of the International Executive Housekeepers Association, (IEHA), was chartered in Rutland, Vermont on September 13, 1974. It is a non-profit professional association with members from Vermont, Eastern New York and Western New Hampshire. The members are working in institutional housekeeping or are vendors in the Jan/San industry. Members work in hospitality, acute healthcare, long term healthcare, retirement communities, colleges, and schools.
Throughout its thirty five year history, the chapter has promoted education and networking for its members while also being involved with the greater Vermont community through charitable giving. Educational programs are combined with business at the monthly chapter meetings and yearly an educational seminar is sponsored with many national industry speakers. Also, for the past sixteen years the chapter has sponsored the HowardCenter Charity Classic with the net proceeds benefiting the Outdoor Challenge Program for the Baird School in Burlington, Vermont and the chapter’s education of its members. To date, the chapter has donated $108,103 to the HowardCenter. Furthermore the chapter annually donates to the IEHA Scholarship Fund, to other social service agencies like Vermont Red Cross, United Way of Vermont, The Salvation Army to the IEHA Member Emergency Fund and to families in need at Christmas. In 2011, $3,000 was donated to assist the flood victims in Vermont.
